The Village Learning Place (VLP) is a non-profit library and learning center in Baltimore. I developed a new site for their organization while they completed a rebranding campaign that included a new logo, colors, and some of the design for the site.
1: The main site, featuring dynamically built upcoming events, photos, news items, and featured stories.
2: A rotating feature box, where images with captions and links slide through as they're added to this section by the client.
3: The Flickr module, pulling recent photos from the client's private Flickr account to each page based on the photo's Flickr tags.
4: A custom built calendar module, where the client can add category-based events and let users sort by those categories.

1: The main site, with a wide photo feature displaying Rachel's most visually-stunning work as well as her two most recent blog posts, in excerpt format.
2: A rotating feature section, fading and gliding as if by Flash but built in jQuery Javascript.
3: Rachel's photography portfolio, with jQuery Javascript filters.
